Angel water bottle

The print design is based on an 18th-century manuscript associated with the Order of the Golden and Rose Cross. The material was brought to Moscow by Johann Georg Schwarz, one of the central figures of Enlightenment-era Freemasonry.

The illustration is reproduced from a manuscript preserved in the collection of the Riga Museum of World Freemasonry and reflects the symbolic visual language of Rosicrucian teaching of the late eighteenth century.
